Well - another Father's Day. Cards from all our wonderful family and a 'Bounty Bar' given to me as I went into Church! Actually I'm a Grandfather as well! Reminds me of a saying that came in quite a few years ago from some great preacher "God has no grandchildren!" Meaning he only has directly related children, 'born not of human origin, but of God' - in other words, born into the family of God through Jesus Christ His Son. Jesus said - "you must be born again". In fact the only way we can enjoy knowing God as Father is to come into His family through the only door. Jesus said "I am the door by me if any one enters in they will be saved" I find that these days there seems to be some reluctance to call God father and to enjoy Him as such. Most folk, even Christians speak of 'God'. "I gave my live to God" - or "Since I decided to follow God" Hey - let's be presise - for me it is still "Since JESUS came into my heart!" Young folk - don't be embarassed about Jesus. He said -"No one can come to the Father unless they come through me" So - fully accept God as your Father. Whatever your experience is of a natural father - good father, bad father, unknown father, mean father, generous father, loving father .... or whatever - nothing can compare with the great creator God almighty who revealed Himself in Jesus in order to show what He is really like. Jesus said "If you've seen ME you've seen the Father"
